Ranbir and Katrina have bonded even stronger ever since their temporary split and marriage might just be in the air after all, say insiders from Mumbai. And one of the biggest signs is that Katrina was invited to meet Ranbir’s grandma Krishna Kapoor at Krishna Cottage in Chembur, Mumbai.
A tabloid quotes a close friend as saying, “Looks like Ranbir wants to get the final stamp of endorsement on Katrina from his grandmother, Mrs. Krishna Kapoor. He’s extremely close to her and values her opinion tremendously.” So Kat and he drove down to Chembur for one of those famous Kapoor dinners!
Incidentally, it appears that Katrina is really serious about making this relationship work considering she passed up an opportunity to walk the red carpet at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Reports say being the brand ambassador of L’Oreal, it’s customary for Kat to walk the red carpet like her predecessors Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor before her.
But Kat turned it down and the reason, feel sources, is Ranbir! Katrina herself doesn’t admit to it but confirms that she won’t be going to Cannes, “In May, during the Cannes Film Festival, I will be shooting for Jagga Jasoos. I would have liked to go for L’Oreal as they are the hosts and very nice people but it wasn’t possible.”
